La Rochelle - Aytré, France Urbanisme
ZAC Bongraine
The creation of the Bongraine eco-district is part of an objective of demographic growth in the La Rochelle region and with a “zero carbon” perspective. The main orientation of the project towards the south helps to indicate the direction of the sea and invites us to draw inspiration from this coastal proximity in the architectural and landscape ambiances of the new district.
We are proposing a strong bioclimatic approach, with a density that lets the soil breathe, a gentle transition from the heights of Avenue Salengro, unifying landscaped and public spaces (the park and the green corridor), a mixed program that allows popular involvement, and pedestrian permeability.
