ZAC du Centre-ville Quartier entrée de ville
A new city with exponential expansion over the past 20 years, Bussy-Saint-Georges is completing its development today with its entrance to the city. This district, located near the highway, and crossed by some dense road arteries. On the one hand raises the question of the quality of life, but also of the image of the city communicated through the future showcase of the city. An urban planning approach favorable to health has been developed very early on, making it possible to define urban forms guaranteeing protection against noise and polluting nuisances generated by the nearby highway. A strategy on the development of soft transport, the promotion of sport in public spaces, or the stimulation of the 5 senses, helps to guarantee an urban project where life is good. It is thus a question of gradually changing the uses of the residents and the image of the city and characterized today by its road system in favor of a healthier image, focused on nature and gentle travel. The consultation with the residents made it possible to make them aware of this approach, while questioning the identity of this city and the way in which they want it to spread: their reflections on the place of nature in the city now play a major role in the development of the project.
